Trick or treat yo' self: It's October
October 2022
Hello October: First of all, can you believe I found this gif for today? What a win!
As ever, it feels like there is so much going on, everywhere, all at once, so this media roundup barely scratches the surface, but it is perhaps a good jumping off point to explore more of a topic through your own research, online courses, podcast listening, reading, and more. Sky is the limit for learning something new - and eating plenty of delicious Halloween candy along the way. Also, October is breast cancer awareness month, where early detection through screening as well as treatment can help improve survival rates, so please continue to support access to healthcare and the ongoing fight against cancer in all forms.

Culture Club:
Fun October streaming + Halloween movies: Netflix recently held its Tudum event sharing ALL of its upcoming trailers, and TIME released its list of highly anticipated movies for the remainder of the year. Personally, I thought ‘Do Revenge’ on Netflix was pure fun, but do NOT watch ‘Blonde’ which was exploitive trash and is getting trashed. And yes, there is a new ‘Hocus Pocus’ and ‘Halloween’ franchise film for you fans craving spookiness.

Midterm elections: These are imperative for so many reasons that I will keep from ranting here but democracy and women’s rights are very much at stake. Visit Vote Save America for more information
