Hello! How are…..oh never mind. I doubt you want to keep getting that concerned question from everyone, all the time, forever. How does one answer? However, I have loved all of the check-ins and video chats with friends sprawled around the world, it is greatly appreciated and I think of you all often. And so, with American news getting increasingly dark (though Canada, where I am currently holed up, is getting better), it can be a challenge to mix news and fun, but I will keep trying! This is a heavily linked article newsletter, so happy reading and listening!

Quick Note:
This is my latest piece for Conde Nast Traveler “How Orenda Tribe Is Supporting Hard-Hit Navajo Nation During the Coronavirus”. Many of you have no doubt seen my posting links on the Navajo Nation, which now has the highest Covid-19 infection rate in the USA, which is devastating for a smaller population. With no help from the federal government, local communities have been fundraising & making PPE, Ireland has donated significantly in gratitude for NN giving funds to them back during the famine, and as of last week both Doctors Without Borders and José Andrés World Central Kitchen have been dispatched to NN. This area has a lot of meaning for my family and so many others, please help if you can like donating here or here. Thank you!
